Custom flight simulator PCs for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, X-Plane 12 and DCS World
Modern flight sims are some of the most demanding software you can run at home. Scenery streams constantly, airports are complex, and VR doubles the load. Uncle Mark Custom PCs builds custom flight simulator PCs to your required spec, so long flights stay smooth from pushback to touchdown.
Software we build for
- Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, the most popular and most demanding
- X-Plane 12
- DCS World (combat-focused)
Recommended PC builds
- CPU: Ryzen 7/9 X3D series for smooth minimum frame rates (the same preference as for racing sims).
- Memory: 32 GB is the practical minimum. 64 GB is recommended for heavy add-ons, complex airports or VR.
-
GPU:
- Solid 1440p: RTX 5070 / 5070 Ti
- 4K or high-settings VR: RTX 5080+ (more VRAM is better)
- Storage: Fast 2 TB+ NVMe is strongly preferred, because MSFS scenery and aircraft are large and stream constantly.
Screens and peripherals
Flight simmers commonly use a single ultrawide or a multi-monitor setup. VR is a major draw, and very GPU-heavy. A typical cockpit includes a yoke or HOTAS, throttle and rudder pedals, plus button boxes or radio panels for airliner flying. Good USB expansion and quiet cooling matter on long flights.
